PRESCHOOL PROGRAM

We provide a very unique, high quality Preschool program which has been developed and taught by a Kindergarten teacher who believes the early years of schooling to be an integral part of a child’s lifelong learning experiences. We provide our preschoolers a place where they learn all the necessary skill sets to ensure a smooth transition into Kindergarten.

* Welcome activities are set out for children as they arrive to the classroom, a way for parents and children to say their goodbyes and re-direct their attention to the Welcome activity for the day. These activities will vary day to day, they will focus on anything from fine motor skills, to theme based activities or a simple coloring activity.

** Table top activities include: hands-on learning activities involving manipulatives (ie. counting cubes, pattern blocks, letter cards); printing practice on paper, mini white boards, and with sensory materials; art and craft activities; traditional paper and pencil work.

***Free play center time is a time for students to engage in unstructured play.  Some of the activities are: Puzzles, Paint Easels, Blocks, Puppet Theater, Sandbox, Concept based games, and real-world manipulatives that can be used in imaginative ways.

Centre Time also allows the instructors to work one-on-one with your child while the other children are in engaged in their free-choice centers.
